4 weddings.

I don't think that will make top 50 lists in years to come.

Other than that, some amazing films.

Not a bad film, but completely over hyped. A British thing, in desperation to talk our film industry up just as an when embarrassing Colin Welland yelled at the Oscars in c.1981.

The Hugh Grant obsession. Always plays the same character ... himself.

34 for me, It should be either The Italian Job or The Man who would be King.... but equally, The Pink Panther if it qualifies as British ?

The Troubadour
I would have to add 'The League of Gentleman' starring Jack Hawkins 1960

..and 'Villain' starring Richard Burton 1971.

DMS is okay, but beyond Consadine it's hardly top rate acting. It's one of those films you watch and think how much better and slicker it could have been.

At least he got Trainspotting in there. Classic. Sightseers from this year should definitely be on that list.

I think thats what makes it such a great film, its very raw, but you are right paddy Consadine gives a great performance.

Boring By Sea
I would stick Brazil in there and maybe Brighton Rock but that's pretty predictable.

It saddens me to say that I have only seen 6 of his 49. Haven't even heard of half of them to be honest.
What's the 6?

Trainspotting.
Get Carter.
Kings Speech.
Skyfall.
Dr No.
Gladiator.

You are missing out on some great films my friend!

I know! :(
Trainspotting is near the top of my to-watch list. If The Italian Job was in that list I would've seen another.
