The democratic and free EU
Dr No (1958)

Who's in the 1958 version? Surely it can't be better than the 1962 version with Sean Connery?

- - - Updated - - -

and in answer to the original question, either The Italian Job, or Withnail & I.

As he's included Stanley Kubrick's Clockwork Orange and Barry Lyndon (classed as UK/USA by the IMDB) then The Shining and Full Metal Jackett could also be considered. Several of his other films are classed as USA/UK, could they also be considered? (Doctor Strangelove, 2001 etc.).
Nibble, agree about Withnail.

Got to be The Italian Job - the original of course.

Apparently they were meant to be making a sequel to the updated American one called The Brazilian Job - should you tell the producers or......

Never like The Italian Job. Massively overrated imo

So he pretty much hates modern film then..... !

He was picked up on that.
BN's reasoning is that the bestest/classic film needs to be multi-generational, hence lacking in films from this generation.

Oh and one other thing, to paraphrase Mr Norman:-

'Of the 300,000+ films ever committed to celluloid I've only seen, say, 15,000.
So it would be impossible for me to say any one film or performance is the greatest, because of the tiny percentage I have seen.
Hence them being alphabetical'.

I have no reason for mentioning that!
