Just been reviewing a thread with this heading on the West Ham forum - some of their guys are tipping us for promotion !

One quote from a Hammers fan..... "Heart over head says we will go back at first attempt as not convinced that the major surgery required throughout the team will be completed in time. Brighton are a top footballing side, excellent young manager and the momentum of a new stadium (its superb) and could easily see them repeating the two consecutive promotions of Norwich."

very nice , but unless something MAJOR happens you can't look beyond West Ham and Brum for auto promotion , probably the way Leicester are throwing the dough around them in the play offs

in all seriousness it's going to be a long old slog , Norwich were more prepared for it then we will be (STILL massively early doors mind) and were able to pull it off , however I can see them in for a struggle next season - and I think a few seasons in the Championship would benefit before going all out for a Promotion that will see us in a decent position to build.

Unless we get 4 or 5 top signings, forget it.

But I think most fans will settle for top half in first season?

Don't get me wrong, I don't think we are equipped or ready for promotion but it was just interesting to see other fans perceptions of our chances

Mid table is a realistic aim. Think the 3 clubs with most money will go up - Birmingham, West Ham & Leicester.

I'd agree with that, we don't have the quality in depth to hang around in the top half for very long. Nothing a few quality signings couldn't change though
