I think the longest we have spent consecutively in tier two is four seasons. 1983-1992 we only had one season out though, so I can see why many are from there.

The person who guessed Peter O'Sullivan is pretty smart as I think some of his appearances would have come from that single season in the early seventies before the two seasons at the end.

And with Sully, he was first choice and virtually injury free. Very good going to get to his total in three seasons.

Interesting stats. I would say that nearly all of this 15 found their natural level in the second tier. Danny Wilson and possibly Terry Connor, arguably borderline top flight players. Johnny 'Football Genius' Crumplin did exceptionally well to compete at that level - in different times would have been 3rd tier at best.

I'm really looking forward to the next Seagulls! The Story...

We've missed out on possibly the most exciting two decades of our history.

Tim Carder's got enough on his plate. Maybe we could write it as an NSC project - if we take a season each!

So who will finish first Bridcutt another 20
Barnes 15
Greer 14
or AEA 8

?

Anyone else current who's close?

I'd actually go for Bridcutt being first to 115 out of those
