Could be that the fight for the court case kept him going, in some strange way.

Thankfully the poor sod won't be suffering any more.

Errrm, is it just me, but this seems a bit of a co-incidence doesn't it? He loses his court battle, then dies a week later despite suffering his stroke 7 years ago.

I small a rat. Watch that space for a police investigation.

The police have said they will not be investigating apparently. And quite bloody right. Hopefully his awful distress last week will have a good end and will finally cause mp's to reject those who oppose dignified death and legislate to allow it.

Horrific that our government and courts decide whether an individual has the right to choose to die, whilst I agree it could be abused. If we made a solid system that checked the mental state and how much the individual wants to die, then who are we to say no?

I think it should go to the hight court on an individual basis, how they say its against his human rights to euthanize him yet keep him alive is allowed. How is iit human to keep a man in that state :(

Natural causes but sounds like they were basically caused by him not eating since he got his verdict through last week, said on the news he has refused food since this date. The starvation route was one he didn't want to put his family through so fortunately something else has taken hold and got him before, such a sad case.
