He was a thoroughly decent chap with two cracking daughters as I seem to recall.

I will tell my mate you fancy his wife! My friend is married to his daughter Claire. I chatted to him briefly at my mates 40th birthday party and he seemed pretty genuine chap.

No not recently, not that I am an avid watcher, but when it is on Tony's comments were the only bit that entertained me. I noticed a couple of weeks ago and again last night that it was a different person.

Great sports presenter, from an era of modest sports experts/fans, simply getting on with the job.

Contrast to some of the 'personalties' dominating shows now.

Very sad to pass away at the relatively young age of 69.

One of the best commentators that the BBC has ever had and his enthusiasm for football always shone through with his distinctive voice.

lol. I said they they were cracking as in good kids. They must have been about 14 at the time!

Ask her if she remembers going to The Savoy holiday camp on the IOW in 1985.
