They’re the same words put up on the screens but I’ve never heard anyone sing ‘Oh Sussex Sussex by the sea’.

It’s difficult to hear what others are singing if you’re singing along with the wrong words at the same time. There’s plenty of songs I’ve got the words to wrong over the years - until I’ve seen them written down and then actually listened!

I imagine Paul Barber was FUMING when this came to light. Probably the most important communication the club send out all year, and they get the name wrong of the man who has underwritten the whole thing. How on earth did that get through proofing?

Regardless, I like these little cock-ups. It illustrates that underneath the uber-professional front the club try to put on, our dear old Albion is still in there somewhere.

I do as well. Blokes behind me have finally ditched 'going up' but still use 'good old' and not 'Oh Sussex'. Guess that'll be another 5 years.
