Cigar tomorrow maybe, he's declared for the opener at Goodwood's evening meeting, second-fav at around 5-1.

Stratum runs for TB today at Royal Ascot in the final race of the meeting (6:10 Queens Alexandra Stakes) - There are some small signs of support having been backed in from 5/1 to 9/2 generally available. Got to be worth a small each way interest (5 places with Skybet, PaddyP & BetfairSportsbook).

'Tailed off on reappearance at Chester (1m5f) but the drop back in trip was against him at that tight track and he was eased when beaten; last year's best form at up to 2m (on good and good to firm ground, including Listed win) puts this front-runner bang there today; effective on good to soft.'

He co-owns it with 5 others at Liverpool and Michael Owen is involved as well, so it is very much a red horse. Perhaps we should just ignore it?
