Sydney .
It only went and went and won it didn’t it !!!
4th last of 20 most of the way, found a gap and got a brilliant run on the rails - absolutely flying home, won by a neck and survived a long protest.

Well done you! How much did you pick up? Just found the replay, some ride, definitely took the brave man’s route! Only watched it once but difficult to see what the protest was about, it was like the parting of the Red Sea up the rails!

Multiple protest - 2nd against 1st and 5th against 2nd. Both were for being impeded but the stewards considered any obstruction wasn’t enough to affect the result and they were both dismissed.
Picked up a shade under $1,500 (£800)

Did you bet on him because you fancied him to win or because he's TB's horse?

If it's the latter is it a generally winning strategy?

Probably for Tony... he will have won a few million pounds today for instance.

A 22/1 winner is a big help, but significantly backing his horses at starting prices over years would lead to heavy losses. Not to be advised.

Ran ugly for 7 furlongs .... and won.

£10.25 net.

Nice.

Was out to 9/1 on exchanges in running ...and quite frankly that looked short at one point.

Has a runner, Lake Forest, in the $10 million ‘Golden Eagle’ here in Sydney at Rosehill tomorrow.
Second richest race in Australia after ‘The Everest’ ($20 million).
Melbourne Cup is 3rd richest with $7.5 million.

Race is over 1500m and is for 4-year olds only - Lake Forest is a 33/1 shot.

Article about TB in The Age & SMH earlier this week ;

Knew he was down there and was waiting for it to run , but Picked a Bad day to take eye of the ball !
Well done for posting , and having a punt

Jimmy Hurdstrom runs for Tony this afternoon (16:05) Chepstow). First run for new stable today - 11/2 readily available as I write, but feel this will shorten as we approach post time.
