Tony Bloom to Back Brighton Football ClubUK Poker Player to Take Over at Brighton Football Club

Poker player, professional gambler, and football betting expert, Tony Bloom will take over from Dick Knight as chairman of Brighton Football Club.
Tony “The Lizard” Bloom has more than $1.3 million in lifetime poker winnings including his recent second place finish in the $100,000 no-limit hold’em challenge at the Aussie Millions 2009, which earned him a nice sum of $403,890.
Bloom will use the profits from poker and gambling to bankroll Brighton. “I’ve been a football fan and a gambler since the age of about seven or eight. My interest in both developed at the same time,” said the 39-year-old Englishman.
His first move will be to make the £60 million switchover to a new 25,000-seater stadium in Falmer.
Bloom has successfully cashed 28 times in his poker career.
Can someone answer these definitively for me?
To what extent is he going to 'bankroll' the club? Does anyone KNOW how much capital that equates to?
Someone on here said he is seriously minted. Does that mean his winnings and 'other business interests' have made him what would need to be an eight-figure fortune that he can easily transfer into capital to put into the club? Has that all - or mostly - come from gambling? If so, would he therefore pass the 'fit and proper person' test (often casually and usually sloppily) imposed by the Football League and FA?
What I'm confused about is that the only figures publicly banded about are the reports saying he has won $1.3m in poker tournaments (that's £848,358 at today's exchange rate). That's obviously not enough to bankroll the club.

Exactly. He must have amassed any fortune he may have through other means. Hmmmmmmmm..
Funny isn't it?, Falmers on its way, and Tony Bloom takes the seat at the helm. He probably has pieced together a cunning plan to sell the Falmer stadium to developers to turn it into a large out of town Casino
