I suppose the hope was for the man the vast majority trust to quieten the unholy shrieks from the incurable predicters of doom, but that doesn't seem to have initially worked. Ideally, those who don't feel the constant need to screech of imperfections aren't pulled on board and glimpse the decency of our play, reserving the wish to sharpen the prongs of their pitchforks until a little further on.

Glad to see he is holding his nerve and not pandering to the " sack the manager after a few weeks of indifferent results " brigade.

A few weeks of indifferent results? You make it sound as if we have drawn or lost a few games, we have won one in what, fourteen games? And that wasn't exactly a good performance either.

Not to mention that the players have looked lost and the tactics have been ridiculous in most of those games. Cardiff is probably our only decent home performance this season and we still didn't get the three points.

He hasn't got the same wealth of talent at his disposal as Oscar and Gus did but this side should still be able to comfortably achieve a respectable position, yet our position is looking somewhat precarious at present.
I really hope he does turn it around, the guy was one of my idols in my youth as a player, but I'm not sure he has it in him as a manager based on what we have seen so far.

Well if he does remain in charge there is one less renewal here. Relegation beckons with Sami in charge and I have had my fill of crap like Oldham, Hartlepool etc.

Oi! Mrs EP and I gave you a LIFT to Hartlepool

Indeed you did kind sir :) but Im OUT if our one team (league) one ambition carries on.

Better things to do on a saturday. Championship is bare minimum these days.

Yep. On balance, I'd say he deserves the rest of the year. With Elliott Bennett back in the fold and Dale Stephens returning from injury, he will have every chance to turn results around.

Sadly BENNO is only a month loan :(

I'm keen to track this but you've given three different measures so far. Which of these will see you give up your season ticket?

i) Hyypia is still in charge at renewal time?
ii) We are relegated (although you won't know that at renewal time)?
iii) We display 'league one ambition'?

A cynic might suggest that the value of the land on which the stadium and the training ground are built is highly unlikely to go down, irrespective of the fortunes of the football club currently occupying them.

What a rediculous suggestion. If TB wanted to invest in land/property, he'd have done it without wasting 230m on building a stadium and training complex, not to mention the 10m+ a year it costs to subsidise our losses.

From today's Argus - Tony Bloom: Sami Hyypia is here to stay

Tony Bloom expects the Finn to be at the club "for many years to come".

"I have every faith with Sami and Nathan's coaching team and the players that we will come through and it will make us stronger."

"I'm absolutely loving being chairman of this great football club. I have absolutely no intention of selling. I think I will be here for many years to come."

These words sound like the normal 'I have every confidence in the manager', why would he need to make this comment? Grow some balls Tony, stop being a fan and become a boss and start by sorting out your executive, because they are just not cutting it. Thats not only my opinion but the 8,000- 10,000 who fail to turn up for matches even though a great majority have season tickets and 1901s, which is even more damming.

Not only am I not surprised that Tony Bloom once again shows he is a leader of great substance, and backed Sami whilst declaring his joy and further interest in the club. I am delighted. As much as anything else because all you whingers on this thread moaning, and declaring your intention to do other things on Saturday are gutted. Would it be to much to ask that you all bugger off to Chelski and 'pretend' to be supporters there. You certainly aren't SUPPORTERS of BHA. I'll be relieved to see the back of you... I look forward to a frenzy of Bedwetters giving me 'thumbs down' I will wear them with pride. :albion2:

If we get relegated with Sami in charge.

Hopefully the board see sense and eject him before we get relegated with him in charge which as things stand will happen. If they change the manager (but lets say too late in the day for the new man to keep us up) then I will cancel but pick and choose games.

Good thing its on DD so I can cancel when I need to. Which I will.

Wrong on so many levels. Its just not enjoyable anymore and whilst Withdean had a certain charm and Gillingham and the Goldstone was host to some crap teams and even crapper football and to be fair it was kind of expected we now have a stadium to be proud of. At this rate itll be the best in league one. Go to Boro and see how soulless 13000 in a 33000 seater stadium is.

Sadly we seem to have a load of overpaid oafs kicking a ball around and Im not convinced Sami (or Burke for that matter) are the men to deliver Championship football at the very least.
