Our supporters literally formed a political party, ran for election and lobbied MPs in our fight for Falmer. It’s never political, social or religious to be a supporter of the club.

The Europa League cup for the trophy cabinet would be a fitting award, I’m sure that would make Tony VERY happy. Not really, I just said he deserves an award, any award. I think it’s all bollox but if it makes Tony happy, then great
yes, fully agree. It was inevitable that the politicos amongst us would use this an excuse to voice their opinions.I was annoyed that I didn't notice the other Honours List thread when I checked to see if Tony Blooms news was on here.
I then thought actually this might just work out for the best.
We can have the love in here and (once again) celebrate the man who has bought so much happiness, as well as £60,000,000+ annually, to Sussex.
While also having a ready made thread for all the usual people to say all the usual stuff about politics and the monarchy.
Oh well.
Something they're more than welcome to do, on the ready made thread with a 'catch all' title.yes, fully agree. It was inevitable that the politicos amongst us would use this an excuse to voice their opinions.
I am not suggesting otherwise -it is a forum for all, but surely the idea was to comment on Tony Bloom and how deserved this is, given what he has contributed to the club and city, as you well know. But, as ever, the virtue signallers have to come on and derail it.Something they're more than welcome to do, on the ready made thread with a 'catch all' title.
Lots of soapbox posturing on here as was to be expected. Shame it couldn't be on a separate thread. Oh, well.
To get back to the point of this one:
Huge congratulations to Tony! Greatest Chairman we have ever had and fully deserved.
You go to all that effort and don’t even drop a name in?I know a guy who got an MBE for his work with drug rehabilitation charities who supplied some Tory MPs with cocaine at the time of his award.
One of the biggest cainers I've ever met, now lives in Goa/ Ibiza/ Brighton.
Obviously I won't go into details on here but you wouldn't be surprised at the names of the MPs.
One in particular.
GO on, please reVEal at least one name.I know a guy who got an MBE for his work with drug rehabilitation charities who supplied some Tory MPs with cocaine at the time of his award.

That’s exactly where I am, dislike the system but happy for Tony Bloom. I’m happy to be conflicted by this. It‘s possible to dislike the honours system but also be pleased that Tony has been recognised for his good work In Brighton.
If it's his own personal money he can do what he wants with it and it's nothing to do with you or I.He better not have donated any money to the Tories.
Hanging out with Rishi at the cricket in the summer clearly helped them
I doubt that was a standard Lords hospitality packageOr………Good to see he’s turned his back on the Tories ?
