So spending over-budget would be inspiring, then?

I think you know what I mean but the fact remains that we are are unlikely to be competitive without spending some money.

Good to see Croftie and Leo training today. Contrary rumours elsewhere that Leo is in Leicester having a medical! There is so much BS at the moment!

Err...so if the club's budget for new players is small and we sign nobody of note you'd be happy with that and believe that we can still be competitive in the Championship? Dream on.

Said a few times last season that this summers activity would highlight the real ambition. At the moment it seems clear the ambition is to not put in anymore money (and actually recoup some through the fees for players sold) and hope to "fluke" it out. Higher risk of failure/implosion/lower crowds but understandable with the amount he has invested.

Could change but I don't think so...

This is more like it ... anybody thinking TB is going to spend large need to support chelski or manure

I'm inclined to wait and see. An obvious advantage to make signings before now to facilitate the settling in of new players. TBH I would like a little less talk and a lot more action on getting the new players we so obviously need in.

Hasn't the transfer window been open only 4 days? FFS. People need to get a grip.

Bingo. Quite why some want us to go out today and spend a fortune on players that might not be right confuses me. Little bit of patience, if the money needs to be spent to get the right players, it will be.

For players out of contract with their clubs at the end of June I think I am right in saying we could have been talking to any of them for the last 6 months. If they are still contracted to a club in July this year then you are correct it has only been open 4 days. So we could have had already, all our new players lined up to sign if they are now out of contract.

Tony quite clearly said that we could go and buy two or three players tomorrow, but would rather target three or four good players which might take a bit longer. How is any of that ambiguous or showing lack of intent?

That Tony Bloom is clearly an idiot with no idea what he's doing. I mean really... what's the point in having a brand new stadium and a brand new training facility if we haven't got the players to play in them? We all know it makes much more sense to have amazing players who have a kickabout in a car park somewhere.

Prize idiot. Bloom out. Players in. Barber shop.

It doesn't. I am amazed by the people on here who say he lacks ambition. Someone who spends 200million+ on infrastructure is hardly going to turn around and not spend money on the squad - it is not as if he has not put his hands deep into his pocket since being in the Championship. He just wants to get the best out of our budget.
