So spending over-budget would be inspiring, then?
I think you know what I mean but the fact remains that we are are unlikely to be competitive without spending some money.

Good to see Croftie and Leo training today. Contrary rumours elsewhere that Leo is in Leicester having a medical! There is so much BS at the moment!
Heard the same last year and Keith Andrews turned up.... (thats the budget bit)
Lets hope what we get are on par with him
Just what we need. Someone as pacey and skilful as Keith Andrews.
Said a few times last season that this summers activity would highlight the real ambition. At the moment it seems clear the ambition is to not put in anymore money (and actually recoup some through the fees for players sold) and hope to "fluke" it out. Higher risk of failure/implosion/lower crowds but understandable with the amount he has invested.
Could change but I don't think so...
i hope hes right but not getting my hopes up
yeh mid table and i dont think we will be anywhere near the top 6 unless we start signing some quality playersDo you have any hopes and aspirations, Mark?
On topic, sounds like we're active; may have a slightly larger budget to cater the gaps in defence!
So why don't you go and borrow 20 mill to fund some new players on your bank account?
if anyone thinks we wont spend every penny we possibly can on getting players in to get promoted then you are stupid.
Tony is a winner
Hasn't the transfer window been open only 4 days? FFS. People need to get a grip.
Tony quite clearly said that we could go and buy two or three players tomorrow, but would rather target three or four good players which might take a bit longer. How is any of that ambiguous or showing lack of intent?
