Brighton & Hove Albion chairman Tony Bloom will appear at the next North West Sussex Seagulls (NWSS) meeting in Horsham tonight.

The meeting will be held at the Holbrook Club and the doors open at 7.15pm.

Andy Stonestreet, NWSS chairman, said, “We always have, as you would expect, a great turn out when Tony joins us for a question and answer session.

“With the Albion having such a fantastic start to the season, I’m sure it will again be standing room only! Please, if you are coming along, do arrive early to be assured a seat.”

Just back from the game. Tony in a very relaxed mood. Didn't duck any questions. Highlights as I remember them:

We were interested in Vydra but loan fee an issue and his wages were 4x more than we pay.
Hotel planning permission progressing - not 100% definite but expected to get go ahead - will not have a casino.
Bobby Z deal contained a number of things that needed to come together - they did and he signed.
Garcia and Hypia were not the best communicators and that is key for a football manager these days. Garcia was an excellent coach. In hindsight they may not have been appointed.
Bmuff deserved to go up last year but everything went their way (injuries, good manager etc). Have made some good signings and some not so good ones.
500 capacity stand at Training Academy to watch u21 games.
Tony has three reason by which a manager might be sacked - turns out they don't have the skills he thought they had, genuinely lost the dressing room, and lack of wins (results).
Proud of clubs response to Shoreham disaster.

Any news on the water slide from the WSU to the train platform?

Its officially a no go. Confirmed is that the LUX of the floodlights need upgrading next season when we are in the EPL, This is so people can see us on TV better.

Is Tony supremely confident our current form will continue, or has the season been fixed?

I think he said something along the lines of that the top 10 clubs in the championship were the ones he expected to be there and that he expected them to be there at the end of the season - he did mention Reading as a potential dark horse.

Also he has gone large on us to go the whole season undefeated.

Anything mentioned about the Argentinian guy that might sign in January after their season has finished?

Yes, he was asked about him, although TB said he wouldn't comment on our plans for individual players, as the club didn't want other clubs to know our targets.

When pressed, Tony wouldn't confirm or deny that Barber had been to Argentina to finalise the deal.

Reading between the lines, and I could be wrong, I think we might still go for him in January, particularly if we're in with a shout.
