Shouldn't he be more concerned with running the club rather than hosting radio shows?

I think, but I'm not sure that the OP is saying that he doesn't think Tony Blackburn does as good as job as the late great Brian Matthew.

Tony plays hits of the 60’s , Brian played those but also obscure one and done hits that made No 34 in the charts in 1963 for instance .

I still tune into to Tony though , still a good show

Tony Blackburn try's his best but he's not the legend Brian Mathew.

I used to love listening to BM talking knowledgeably and intelligently about the music of the 60s. And he had a lovely speaking voice. TB isn’t a patch on him.

Love TB & will always listen on a Saturday if I'm up. Incredible to think he's been broadcasting so long & I remember the Pirate ships and that he played the 1st song on Radio 1. Still sounds as corny as he ever did and long may it continue.
