Adams would be an interesting and potentially exciting gamble, but I would like to see a longer list of candidates. My main concern with him would be whether he saw this as genuine opportunity or just some glorified job training scheme

Most importantly I want someone who has got the balls to actually want this job, and having accepted the job is not going to run away at the first opportunity squealing about how we have got no money and we don't yet have a shiny new stadium! If you can't work with us then don't bother applying in the first place.

This works in theory but who has the crystal ball capable of seeing which applicant(s) won't piss off when Shiny New Stadium FC come knocking on DK's door to talk to our manager?

Falmer is everything to BHAFC's future. Without it we're fcuked. Until it's actually being built we'll never hang on to anybody half-decent as a manager.

As for that Withdean wanker resident who screwed our application for 2000 extra seats-I hope he's feeling pleased with himself. Twat! Those extra seats at 20 quid a pop would have added some decent money to the manager's playing budget.

bottom line is, yes we get good manager, but they f*** off after 1 year and i cant see adams wanting to stay either! why cant we get a manager that just wants to stay with us for more than one year, rather than a manager that uses us to put them in the shop window!:censored:

Im pretty certain that Adams wouldnt consider the job. He was offered a post at a decent non-league club, was it Weybridge? It was turned down as he didnt think they had the backing and the potential to go places.
Neither have we until Falmer is sorted. I dont think Adams will take that risk or wait for it. He wants a club where there is sound backing (Reading) and a decent ground (Reading) and a chairman that will back him (Reading). I think he will make a top manager but not at Brighton. I think were just not the right club for him.
However, Reading on the other hand..........

And that is the hardest thing to accept because it is the cold hard truth. Basically takes us back to those three cnuts who tried to put us out of business and the desperate need for Falmer.

Tony Adams very interesting autobiography read agreed he's a changed man by all accounts and done the badges etc but we need an Albion man DEAN WILKINS though a joint pair of the two very interesting TA defensive brilliance Deanos midfield passing skills passed on wot more do u want?

The only problem is that we have to attract him here when we have no ground and we're broke. We need a someone who is experienced at working with no budget with an eye for a good loan player, someone like errr Coppell, who has proved himself at that time and time again.

We are royally f***ed this time. forgive the pun.

I said five years ago to anyone who would listen that I thought Tony Adams would be a very good manager and I would be happy to see him here.

I hate Arsenal but was always an admirer of his for his passion and drive as a captain, both for them and England The way he faced up to his failings off the pitch was exemplary, as was his willingness to learn before going straight into coaching or management.

I just have this gut feeling that he will be very, very good, but equally I don't want SC to go and having so many managers in such a short time cannot be good for any club.

Tony adams i think would want to prove himself with a club .. we would be an ideal start for him but that would be it ..a step on the ladder to bigger and better things until we got falmer and a decent ground and infrastructure

Decisive acton Dick. By talking to Reading he has effectively tendered his own resignation. So f*** off then, if its not Reading it will be the next suitable vacency.

I note with interest the comments about Adams.

I would lke to see Dean Wilkins given a higher role in whatever new set we employ.

Don't despair it's never dull being an Albion fan. Thats why we do it.

Tony Adams needs to be DK's no 1 target if Coppell walks. The man is a legend and wanting now to get into management. He has no management track record but if he is 10% as good as being a manager as he was a player and shows the same level of courage, pride, skill and commitment we will have a very rosey future together. Take a chance of him Dick.

Also his own personal triumphs overcoming his demons, shows ths sort of man he is.

I would welcome him at the club with open arms.

And finally anyone who has bedded Caprice has to been shown a lot of respect as well

 .

What happened the last time we had someone with no 1st team management experience?

Reading have more options than SC and have talked to them. Let's not go overboard.

I honestly can't see Wendy Wilkins being a manager!
