Scotland really shouldn’t be as bad as they are.

They don’t have a terrible starting 11.

They've just brought Johnny Russell on, so it's clear they have a bloody awful finishing XI.

Finishing with a negative goal difference (which they almost certainly will) in a six team group including footballing superpowers such as Kazakhstan, Cyprus and San Marino is frankly abysmal even by Scotland’s recent standards.

They're actually below Kazakhstan and Cyprus currently. It's frankly a travesty that they'll get another shot at qualification via the Nations League. Why not let Kazakhstan have a go?

Because we want another chance to have a laugh at their expense.

Cheshire Cat

The most curious thing..
Not sure I really get their team selection. Ryan Fraser and John McGinn are decent Premier League players. But Steve Clarke is playing Robert Snodgrass (years past his best), Kenny McLean (Norwich fringe player) and Matt Phillips (a pretty average Championship player) while McGinn and Fraser sit on the bench. There is a sprinkling of talent there (alongside Andy Robertson), but the rest are just abysmal.

Excellent yellow card for diving for the Scotch full back just now, by the way [emoji38]ol:

In other international news, Mr Krabappel is watching his beloved Wales on the iPad. I just heard an exasperated grunt from his direction, followed by a loud "****ing hell. Jonny Williams is just shit, isn't he?".

That must be a different Jonny Williams to the former Real Madrid & Barcelona target we once knew as Joniesta, surely.
It's a bit like the England Test cricket team. There really isn't anyone who is any better than the current shower

Well FYI, Mooy was MOTM (had an absolute blinder and scored a cracker from outside the box) and Ryan made one world class save in a 3 - 0 win over Kuwait to get Oz's WCQ underway.

Bodes well with Mooy and hopefully Ryan can bring some of his world class saves to the Premier League, whilst not playing badly we haven’t see many of those from him for a while.
