Fulham fans going mental. Apparently it could be 5-0 Rotherham. Maybe they don't fancy their chances of any more points, much like many of us don't fancy our chances!

Obviously the best result would be a Fulham win, however if they do lose tonight they will have to get a win out of their next game vs Blackpool away to overtake us as their other fixtures are against Middlesbrough and Norwich.

remaining fixtures

Fulham V Blackpool (a) Middlesbro (h) Norwich (a)

Rotherham V Norwich (h) Reading (h) Leeds (a)

Millwall V Cardiff (a) Blackburn (a) Derby (h) Wolves (a)

Who do you think will get most points from those games?

Well Fulham sound as bad as us, Rotherham and Millwall have some momentum

Yeh I looked at that earlier. Having said that you know there will be a shock or 2 somewhere...

If results stay like this and we lose at the weekend we could be in big trouble

Not from Wigan who cant catch us other than big scores either way, which is unlikely.
Rotherham have the points deduction over their head.
Millwall will not get many points in the remaining games. Perhaps 2 wins 1 draw but as it stands now they need 2 wins and 2 draws at least 8 pts.
Fulham will possibly get 3 pts at Blackpool but not many more, if any.

So even if we lose at Wjgan all is not lost.

We will be safe before Middlesbro and not needing points.

Just goes to show how stats don't tell full story.. Even the Fulham radio man said it could be 5-0 and moose talk sport said exactly that too. Unfortunately...

Let's hope Fulham come out with some fire in their belly

Fulham stats look just like ours - lots of possession but all the chances with the opposition

Are people on a wind up or just a bit slow?! Of course we want Rotherham to lose - not even up for debate. I don't care if we finish 4th bottom or 7th bottom as long as we stay up!!!!

Ps - Rotherham all over Fulham at mo

Big scores don't matter. Wigan cannot catch us if they win they remaining games 10-0.

It is definitely better if Rotherham lose tonight. However, you're right, it's not a disaster.

By my reckoning this is the position. Surely the objective must be to stay up, which means ending up in 21st place or above. Millwall are the only team who can prevent us doing that. However if Millwall fail to win all of their matches i.e. They drop 3 points then we will need to get 3 points to stay up.

Current table.

19 Brighton 43 -7 46
20 Fulham 42 -21 45
21 Rotherham 42 -22 43
22 Millwall 42 -30 39
23 Wigan 43 -22 36
24 Blackpool 43 -53 25

Matches to be played.

Millwall are the threat, so I've concentrated on them. They also have a game in hand, which doesn't help! Wigan can't overtake us.

So: On Sat 18th Brighton play Wigan away. Millwall play Cardiff, Cardiff should win.

Worse case, we loose = 46 points. Millwall win = 42. Wigan win = 39

On Tuesday 21st Blackburn play Millwall, Blackburn should win, but if Millwall win = 45 points.

On Saturday 25th we play Watford, currently 4th, should be a good game as we play better against higher placed clubs. Wigan play Wolves, Wolves should win. Millwall play Derby 5th. Derby should win..

Worse case we loose = 46 points. . Millwall win = 48 points. Wigan win = 42 points.

On Saturday 2nd May we play Middlesbrough 3rd, again this should be a good game as we play better against higher placed clubs. Wigan play Brentford 7th, Brentford should win. Millwall play Wolves 8th. Wolves should win.

Worse case, we loose = 46 points. Millwall win = 51 points. Wigan win = 45 points. Millwall stay up and we go down.

Of course the 'worst case' is just that and hopefully Millwall won't win all their games and we won't loose all of ours. I think this is sound, no doubt if it isn't someone will inform me.

Cheers

I think Millwall with have the fire in their bellies from seeing that glint of light that comes from a team above them apparently being clueless in the basic idea of the game.
