Gray missed a gilt-edged chance. He misses lots.

Neither team anything special. Brentford still in it, just about.

Brentford have been this year's Brighton... Poyet's brighton that is... the surprise team straight up from league 1 and manager leaving at the end of the season... and I think failing at play-off semis..... unfortuantely. Hope Norwich (yes, not bloody Ipswich) thump Middlesbro thought.... hate the Boro!!!
Except of course we didn't make the playoffs in our first season in the Championship - we finished tenth

2-0 IMO a stupid decision to remove shirt when scoring. One further mistake, second yellow and he misses Wembley

Gray does miss a lot of chances, but then again Brentford carve out no end for him and, to his credit, he gets into position for them.
His conversion rate is a tad better than our lot though.

So frustrating that our board decided against bidding for Clayton when he wanted to come here last summer. Taking the cheap option with Holla hasn't exactly turned out well.

Thought it was him who turned us down?

Didn't hear that! If that's true that's ridiculous. I thought it was about him preferring to stay up north & Middlesbrough getting their business done early - ie he could see what they wanted to achieve.

Adomah took his goal well as did Tomlin with the first. :goal:

M'bro showed remarkable composure in front of goal. It would not be beyond the realms of possibility that our younger players could learn to hold their nerve a bit for half a second and try and elude the block from the defender. And to run into space to take advantage of gaps at the back as well.

We have got a full summer, proper training pitches, and hopefully we can practice some attacking moves before the season starts. Just need the six new players in before the end of July. Or four before July and a couple of reserves.

Adomah looked overly right footed at first but he scored perfectly with his left foot when needed.
