I think to a degree that may be right but we played very poorly and remember it was the Subs that made the difference on Saturday, a sub got us a point this evening.

as for "All the hard work thrown away" How does that work? I would of been delighted with 4 points after Leeds and Millwall. That is what we have

Agreed AVS but do you not agree that you thought it might come the other way round?

I know what you're saying Art, but as in Tennis which I play,
we broke a strong serve against Leeds, but didn't hold it when to be quite frank, we should have done.

Sounded to me like we missed El Abd tonight. His aggression is really important to us in games like this.
Also think it again highlights, sadly, that Calderon is struggling defensively at this level.

Gus needs to ask himself some questions about his team selection tonight. Had Lua Lua or Noone been on from the start it would have been a different result.

Bez, yes of course. That's Football though. I think the main factor this evening was one eye on Scousers match TBH

Peanut Roaster, yeah for sure. But which ever way it is, 4 points is still good and being still unbeaten in 2012 after playing shit is a result

You cannot know that for sre though can you. Take stock. We have more points in 2012 than you would of imagined so it's not really that bad is it

Not that bad but could be better. This league is there for the taking this season.

We were far too narrow tonight. Calderon was trying to go forward on the right but that left us short at the back. Reyes was all at sea in midfield. The players apparent lack of fight indicated that they had at least one eye on Sunday.

I hope we go out Sunday as this really could be an opportunity lost.

Also someone please tell me that Buckley and Vicente are injured because if they were rested for the Liverpool game that will really f*** me off.

hmm, not sure with the hope we go out comment but agree 100% that it's distracting us from goal number 1, which is the league.

Sorry i disagree. Lack of fight? how many goals in the last 5 mins have we had recently. YES....we played poor this evening but we are not going to play well every game OR rule this league this season. 9th and 2 points from the play off places exceeds my expectations this season

Maybe Noone and LuaLua weren't fit enough for the full 90? And I guess Poyet thought that with Reyes/Bridcutt/Navarro screening, there would be plenty of cover for Calde & Mattock to get forward and provide the width.

Didn't go tonight as I'm full of flu but listened on the radio and although it sounded frustrating as hell, it sounded like our passing and movement was uncharacteristically sloppy, rather than it being entirely the fault of the formation. Chalk it up to a bad day at the office, respect the point we salvaged and move on I reckon.

Not just the formation that seemed out of sorts but some shocking individual performances eg Dunk We got out of jail thanks to Lua Lua but cannot understand why he didn't come on earlier.
