I know I am always perhaps over-optimistic about all things Albion, but if you'd been a supporter since 1959 as I have so would you be, or you would have given up years ago.

But as long as we do no worse than Millwall, Wigan and Blackpool for the rest of the season we won't go down. We are a point ahead and with a better goal difference so I'd rather be in our position than theirs. And almost certainly Blackpool are out of it and Wigan are still in trouble despite their result today. So arguably we just need to match or better Millwall.

Ok we might go down, it won't be the first time and it won't be the last, but as long as we just match their results we´ll be OK. Personally, I think we'll do better than that.

You can flame me if you want, but if you aren't optimistic what's the point of being a supporter?

Blackpool are 10 points behind with a worse goal difference and a club in disarray. Hardly snapping at our heels.

They are as much snapping at our heels, as we are snapping at the heels of 10th to mid table. Same points difference, only my glass is half full and not half empty like yours. 10points between us and Blackpool, the same as us and Forrest in 10th.

I'm worried about Wigan now. This lad being ill for them might give them a bit of fighting spirit. A good 1-0 win against Reading could be the turning corner for them. They also have a nice run of games coming up

It is very simple it is in our own hands if we do the business the rest is immaterial and this is what CH must instill in the players.
