According to SSN, the police are wading in, hitting anyone they can, and theres people covered in blood and stuff as a result.

They said something about some older guy on the floor, defenceless, being repeatedly hit with the batons.

Just seen it on SS1. Roma fans goaded the Manure fans when the goal went in and Manure rushed to the Roma fans.

Not going in favour of them here but you can't blame the Italian Police for having a zero tolerance approach after what's happened out there lately.

There was a journo or something on who is in the ground, in the Utd end, on the phone to Five Live just now.

To summarise what he said:

- Incidents BEFORE the game, Utd fans being attacked/ambushed etc
- Started kicking off after sending off
- Missiles (most of which were bottles) exchanged by both sets of fans
- When Roma scored, the Roma fans charged a perspex screen seperating the two sets of fans
- Police ran down to try and stop the screen breaking so the fans can reach each other. To do so, they forced their way through Utd fans, knocking a bunch out the way
- Utd fans got angry
- The police reacted
- Police vs Utd fans. Round 1. Fight.
