A dissapointing audience no doubt, especially with it being half term. Hopefully the positive result will add a few onto the gate for the next game.

I think we are down to the die hards now....its blatently obvious that the "casual supporter" is not attracted to the club any more, hopefully this will change when we get to Falmer.

Oldham are not exactly a great draw, therefore unless there are some pretty spectacular offers, I can see a sub 4500 gate for this game - Rugby on the telly also, which could put a few off.

Pathetic comments on the Argus website saying stuff like 'Right that's it for me after 32 years of supporting the Albion through thick and thin'. And wallahs leaving after 65 minutes. I mean, who ARE these people? And why choose now, so close to Falmer, to give up supporting the team? ???

I reckon my thought process was not unlike that of quite a few non STH / casual fans last night. I travelled to Cheltenham with my son a couple of weeks ago, spent a fair few quid doing so, had a good day out but was left very very frustrated with our inability to do the simple things right - pass the ball to a team mate, hold possession, put in a decent cross, corner etc. When it came to last night I has the choice of spending £51 for two tickets in the South Stand to watch what was going to be odds on a poor game of football between two mediocre teams in a mediocre league. I chose to stay at home. I'm exactly the sort of person the club needs to attract with a combination of better football and more attractive pricing and I guess there are thousands like me. As much as I love the club and have done for many years as my username suggests, I am not in love with this team playing this sort of football in these sorts of facilities. Falmer sorts the facilities bit, the quality of football and pricing is another matter and that can't wait for Falmer.

I really think that the club need to adopt an aggressive approach to ticket pricing, they need to do something similar to what Bradford did and aim to get at least 5000 season tickets sold for next season. In the early seasons at Withdean you could apply for tickets and never be sure if you would get one, on one occasion I didn't, there were touts outside the ground and demand far out-stripped supply. I know there was a feelgood factor at the time and the back to back championships with a somewhat smaller capacity certainly helped. The club need to address this with a matter of urgency, the feelgood factor needs to be restored and carried forward with us to Falmer, the team really aren't that bad...being roared on by crowds of 8k would certainly help motivate them.

jeez, when I started watching the Albion about 5 years ago, it was postal ballots only, and quite often I couldnt get a ticket

how are we gonna triple the crowd in 3 years. I guess we need to be getting 12k+ ish through the gates at Falmer. Yeah some will come back as its a new stadium, but 2 extra for every supporter going at the moment? thats a big ask in 3 years. I dont think we can do it in this division

Bizarre isn't it. I often think it about the clowns who ring the phone in as well. But maybe there are a lot of people out there who think this way?? That is a worrying thought I have to say.

In the longer term it may be a problem but initially at least we won't struggle for attendances. There is plenty of precedent of clubs vastly improving their gate after moving to a new stadium, it should bring new fans in as well as brining lapsed fans back out of the woodwork. My worry is the seasons until then.

Since 1982, has a fair point. I met a dad and his son going on the way to the game. He had paid £38 or the both of them last night, and that is just too much.

Also the Champions Leauge was on the box. Some non league teams have switched midweek games to Monday, as their gates drop dramaticaly. Freinds at Dover, when asked, have said the gate at Crabble had dropped by 1000, if they played on a Champions Leauge night.
