I have to disagree...I am reasonably confident when I see the names of Whing and Elphick on the team sheet. The name of El Abd fills me with dread.
His performance at Millwall was no more than average and that, apparently, was one of his better displays!
I would place him as a back-up squad player...no more.

Absolutely true of Whing, possibly less so of Elphick. Adam El Abd makes occasional, but admittedly spectacular, mega-gaffes but otherwise does his job in a simple, unfussy manner which just goes unnoticed. Every successful side has a player like that - no frills, but effective - and in just about every case they get slagged off by the twats with stars in their eyes.
