At the club shop before the game yesterday, a kid in a Man Utd shirt with Tomboy printed on the back was being restrained at the exit by one of the stewards/bouncers. Was getting a bit heated but the steward was not in the mood to let go despite Tomboy's flailing attempts to get away.

Anyone else see this incident, and/or know what it was about (shoplifting, presumably) and how it ended? The kid's sister/ girlfriend/companion ran off to fetch his dad I think but no idea what happened when I left.

Just curious........

Saw a few united fans with ‘tomboy’ and ‘tomboy RIP’ on the back. Anybody know what that was about?

Edit: never mind, googled it. Bloke off gypsy wedding that was killed on a car crash.

I was at the checkout when all of this kicked off. I believe he nicked a load of Albion logo-ed car tax disc holders to sell on.

But travellers are misunderstood hard working folk? Why would this one idiot want to give their community a bad reputation. I'm sure they will all assist the police in securing a prosecution to ensure their way of life isn't given a bad name.

I heard some guys say he racially abused a steward outside the shop. Then balled his eyes out after. No idea if this is true he was pretty heavily dealt with.

They will be let off because the club stupidly did not put s temporary toilet in the club shop for them to use whilst they were shoplifting.

I once had a 'traveller' trying to nick the dustcaps off my tyres while I was filling up with petrol.
Another, when I was working for BT, nicked my ladder while I was up the top of the pole.

I'm guessing then that this is related to what I saw, which was a blonde woman and two girls, aged about 14-15, being escorted from the South stand back towards the station by a suited security officer and several security men in hi-viz. The reason I noticed it was that the young girls were dressed up to the 9s like they were doing some sort of promotion - short skirts, heavy make-up etc. - but we’re clearly not old enough for that to be the case. It does however seem to be consistent with the attire worn by teenager girls on gypsy wedding.

Were they carrying a BT ladder?

Heard there was a group of pikeys trying to get tickets outside the north.

More than likely related

Just checked this out and both correct unfortunately :(

There was a bloke being nicked at the end of the game too on the walk down to the station by the programme booths. The drama!

I wonder if that was one of the two tw*ts walking towards the ground past the train queues? They were swearing at the stewards and then started on the Albion fans who then all gave the two a right verbal pasting. The Old Bill then decided to intervene it seems.

I'm not sure tbh. He was about 40 odd, and the police were checking his ticket. Looked more like a touting or similar issue than the sort of bloke that would be giving verbals.

So how else are they gonna fix the floodlights at the Priestfield? We may have built their stand but maintenance is down to them now.

A quick google search found the young chap's funeral pictures, and those carrying his coffin had Man Utd shirts on.
