Thanks. Sony A580, upgraded from the 200 a couple of months ago. What do you use?

Only a Fuji S100FS at the moment, it's a bridge, but hopefully upgrading to a Canon 600D in the next couple of months.

Only problem I had was getting my DLSR into the Amex in the first place - the steward was quite unimpressed when he saw it on searching my bag. I explained that I knew about not taking pictures of the match and it was just for the lap of honour, but he still wasn't particularly happy about it.

Got a few of the parade though - but quite like this one of Fire-Breathing Jo at half time... http://www.flickr.com/photos/danjc003/6954072850/in/photostream/lightbox/

As some one else said you must have a brilliant camera, to get a half time picture with the full time score in the background !!!

Blimey they're very good. Out of curiosity - the Fontana di Trevi one, it's gorgeous! How did you get the water to 'flow' but not over-expose? I bought a Canon DSLR and admittedly, haven't practised too much, but whenever I experiment with exposures, simply flood the sensor with too much light, even if I tighten up the aperture...

I think the worry is that you could go on to sell the photos and make a monetary gain, well when I was a steward this was the advice. I don't think many fans would really go on to sell them, so where I was it was common to let people take photos.

Thank you! For the long exposure, I just turn it right down to ISO 100, close the aperture as much as it will go and use one of these: http://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B000EDORLQ/ref=asc_df_B000EDORLQ7547275?smid=A3GI79VBNSVFZI&tag=googlecouk06-21&linkCode=asn&creative=22218&creativeASIN=B000EDORLQ (make sure you buy the right size (diameter) if get a filter!).

I also shoot on Aperture Priority, not manual, so adjust until I can see that 5-10 seconds is the right shutter speed... I'm not yet good enough to work it all out for myself!

Just realised that this obviously isn't the game on Saturday but some other game which I cannot make out from the scoreboard. Pity cos with a camera like what I thought you had you could make a fortune betting on the full time result !

Newbury, Berkshire.
Cameras are prohibited because of specific legislation in the Football Spectators Act. Why was this included in the act? What was/is the issue?

I suspect that they would (not that you'd want to but someone else who picked it up might) make a rather useful and heavy missile to chuck at someone. Especially if you were seated in an upper tier where away fans are sitting in the lower tier (like they do at Wolves).

There's also the issue of a terrorist attack. A camera could easily make a useful cover for a small device and the club don't have the kind of screening equipment seen at airports. Weren't Al Qaeda planning to target Old Trafford during a game at one stage........

The "killer" bit of regulation is, of course, the fact that the Football League claim exclusive image rights over everything that happens at a match. Photography is either licensed, for a fee, or it is forbidden. And it's very difficult to get a licence.

The rules are even more draconian for the Olympics. Even posting a message on Facebook, about an event, from inside an Olympic venue, is prohibited.
