I inhabit the North Stand, and think that one of the easiest fixes would be to queue from one side, and exit from the other.

I've been wondering why they haven't enforced this in WSU, the half time scramble involves queueing for a few minutes to get to a urinal followed by some kind of army tactical manoeuvre to work you way back to the exit.

As usual, the East is dire - it's quite common, if you leave your seat at the half-time whistle, that you'll just about get back to your seat in time for the second half. Takes a good 10-12 minutes to queue. Not a chance of being able to get a drink from the bar, so generally tends to be a case of going with a mate - one to the toilets, and the other to the bar.

Seems weird that it was never a problem at Withdean - but then people there weren't entering and exiting from the same doorway as in the East. So that creates all kinds of congestion that prevents people crossing the concourse.

The stats on beer and pie consumption are truly staggering and have to impact on the usage of toilet facilities :)

I have suggeted this - but no reply from the club.

I also suggeted having shelves in the toilets too (above the urinals)

If the East is anything like the WSU then having an in/out system may make things better ordered but won't make a single bit of difference when it comes to speed. In the WSU all urinals are being used all of the time during the break, with each urinal having a queue of 3 or 4 waiting to pee.

I've suggested the one way system myself, but the current configuration with wash basins, single cubicle and hand dryers at both ends doesn't suit this. Perhaps they could move these to one end during the closed season?

And a queue of people outside as well.

It's funny, that in the vast majority of public buildings put up over the years, women have had to endure lengthy queues for the toilet, and it was never, ever suggested that swapping male & female toilets over might be an option.

Yet now, for about the first time in the history of the universe, men find themselves having to queue, it's all "Something MUST Be Done".

For what it's worth, there's usually a queue in the WSU Ladies, so tough shit, chaps, cross those legs, don't drink so much, & welcome to our world :p

I almost never drank before games at withdean and rarely used the loos at half time. This cannot be said for the Amex!

People can't possibly be drinking more beer, the queues are too long. But that's another thread...

100% This. Awful in WSU for men. No queues for women. Although a 'IN' sign and 'OUT' sign would improve things.

Problem with WSU is that you can't have a cuppa and a pee due to time factor.
If this is happening in every stand think of revenue being lost every half time.
I suppose the answer is to pee in a paper cup and drink that!!!
