With Plymouth winning by a cricket score (they now have a plus 34 goal difference !) and QPR also winning it really looks like the play offs our only hope.

We are now 10 points off second spot and 14 points off the top.
To put it bluntly if we went down 14 points we would be in the bottom five !

The play off picture is now becoming ever more congested - only 5 points seperate Bristol City in 2nd, and Rushden in 12th !

With some tough games coming this month up I just hope we can keep in the frame. A couple of defeats and we could be mid table.

Does everyone else think we will still finish in a play off position ?
I think we can - but we are going to have to start picking up some points away from home.

PS - I hate having a weekend with no match, it sucked just sitting at home watching Gillette Soccer Saturday, having little interest in any specific match.

That's it, write us off already

We should have beaten Plymouth being 3-1 up but still got a draw. We can beat them at Withdean.

We've already beaten QPR in the league.

There are 22 games to play yet

My honest opinion and it pains me to say it is that no way on gods earth do we deserve to be promoted this season even if it is by the play offs. We have been rubbish all season and its only because the league is the worst league I can remember in over 30 years and Knights 17 league goals that we are even talking about the play offs. With the football I have seen this season I would say we deserve about 12th-16th place in the league.

What is the point in going up as we could not possibly compete in div 1 with a side consdierably inferior to the one that won Div 2 2 years ago. We would get the lowest points total in league history and would have to spend serious money which we do not have to even stand a chance of staying up.

If Taylor thought we could not compete 2 years ago, god help McGhee if we do manage to fluke a swift return via the play offs.

Although it will make life boring , it is much better to consolidate for 2 years in div 2 and then win div 2 in the 2005/2006 season for a return to div 1 for the start of our first season at Falmer.

You negative person - we'll be OK, the others can't win all their games.

Its called being realistic not negative. We are a poor side this season and do not deserve to go up.

Did you think that prior to October or is it your anti McGhee feelings clouding your opinion?

We have quality players coming back from injury and McGhee is getting the players to pass around the ball instead of hoofing it.

I still reckon we'll make the playoffs.

We are still in good shape especially when the likes of Blackwell return shortly.

Would be very annoyed if we missed the play-offs.

Yorkie how many times have you seen them this season. They are bloody awful playing the worst football an Albion side has played for 5 years when we were in the bottom half of div 3. Talk of going up is ridiculous and highly embarrassing as we are simply not good enough by a mile to even contemplate div 1 football next season.

Talk about funny results how about Wycombe scoring 4 today - they were so poor against us?

Take each match as it comes - the season to date has proved we are good enough to be in the play off zone. Who is to say we will not improve during the course of the next four months.

Also not good enough to go up - why already doom us to relegtion if that were to happen via the play offs. If we find ourselves going up new players will come in and out of contract players will go. While we will probably not storm the league we may stand a chance if we get off to a better start than last season.

As I said lets take each game as it comes and KTF.

This season is a somplete lottery and I'm convinced that no side will walk away with it. Sure, right now Plymaouth have hit a purple patch, let's see how well they do against us next month.

I went to the Plymouth game yesterday, Cheaterfraud's defending was woeful - they were 5 down after a quarter of an hour, but Plymouth ain't much at the back - a better team could have score a few themselves. But the way things are going for them, this must be their season. Most of Plymouth's attacks come down the right wing where they have a good winger named Phillips and they also have a bit of pace up front. A wet night at Withdean, who knows?

I do believe Plymouth and QPR will be the two automatic promotions, we have a chance but we need to put a little run together, going unbeaten for 10 games or so by one of the teams in the pack will secure a Playoff slot. Lets just hope it is us !

It's good to see Plymouth doing so well this year. Does anyone remember how great the Plymouth fans were when we secured promotion to Div 2 a few years ago at Home Park - clapping the team and all. Brought a lump to my throat at the time. I think we may well get the 3 points when we play Plymouth at Withdean but they must stand a very good chance now of going up as Champions.

There is no way we will get automatic promotion unless we find ourselves another good striker and a winger - and quick.

We are certainties for the play off's, after all we are in fifth and have played shite so far, once we get it together, we could make up the ground.
