To be fair - I think he booked Dunk for holding Kane back by the neck when he was trying to get up quickly. Dunk wryly smiled at him, so I think he expected the booking.

I assumed this was because Dunk complained a bit too much, seemed to be suggesting to the ref Kane had studded him, or similar.

Thought the ref more generally was pro spurs.

I thought it was six of one half a dozen of the other

I thought he was appalling. Certainly the worst we've had this season. If i recall correctly he denied us the most blatant of penalties last season too. Hugely inconsistent, missed the blatant foul on Connolly and generally behind play.

Even after winning so comfortably did anyone else think he favoured the “top 6 team”? For example booking Stephens for blocking a free kick but not their player when he did it, letting them kick the ball away, ignoring/only yellow carding Dier ? For an off the ball incident, not joining in our goal celebrations

Yes , all true ,dont rate him highly , once a tit ....

Yes - all of this. Surely the off the ball incident could have been red.

The penalty appeal on Connelly was a free kick as it started outside the box but the referee was so far behind play it was bizarre to see him dismiss it so theatrically when he was clearly nowhere near being able to see it

The Dunk yellow was justified but also very funny holding Kane and then dragging him down in a headlock whilst smiling

Sissoko must have performed about 15 fouls in the game yet only managed one yellow whilst Stephens was booked for someone booting the ball at him from a quick free kick

The Dier incident he missed but VAR deemed it to only be a yellow (looked like a raised arm on the replay).

Why did he give a yellow for us blocking a quick free kick in the 2nd half when did nothing when they did the same in the 1st?

probably because our free kick was kicked at the player, tottenhams free kick our player moved his foot to block the ball.

Yeh not the best was he

I thought that was the correct decision. There were a lot of poor decisions though, and they mostly favoured the big club.

Ref today .....

Shocking lack of consistency and favouring the big team for Stephens booking.

Should have awarded the first goal straight away, without waiting for VAR.

Apart from that, seen much worse

Easy to talk up a ref when you've won though

Hard to carp after today, but aye, thought, thought he was slow and lazy. Booking of Stephens was just gash given they wanted to take a quick free kick from the wrong place. Kane was in his ear all afternoon (when he wasn't standing with his arms out like a scarecrow) but Dunk gets booked for an irrelevant 50/50 tussle when the game was done.

Not seen it back but I thought Connolly was pushed and it may have been a penalty. Didn't matter today, but another time......

That **** of a referee should be nowhere near the Premier League.
Too slow, overweight and totally biased to the big boys.
As you said, he booked Stephens when they took the free kick from the wrong position and from a moving ball, and the booking of Dunk when he and Kane fell over each other was quite frankly rediculous.
I think that puts Dunky on four now, ban coming up.
I didnt have a good view of the Connolly penalty appeal and was following the play when Connolly got done off the ball.....but he didnt appear to call for VAR for either.
1st Class ****

You cannot be serious? DUnk pinned him down by the neck like something from WWE to stop Kane getting into the box.

A complete and utter bellend and the booking of Steohens was one of the worst decisions.. Lamela just put the ball down and kicked it straight at Stephens what was Dale supposed to do. It wasnt even a properly taken free kick I think Lamela should have been booked for ungentlemanly conduct.

He was poor and luckily we didn't suffer too much as a result. Stephens booking was farcical given some of the fouls.
