Good on ya!

As my lecturer once told me; "you're not a proper student until you have been on a protest march"

And as another lecturer told me; "don't get in a fight with riot Police, it bloody hurts and you probably won't win."

I was there at the last one, all the best KneeOn and anyone else going. My ex Uni is looking at about 70% cuts to its total budget.

5 bus loads have gone Winchester Uni plus our student union president been in the local rag for a few days as well. All fun and games.

So KneeOn, where would you further cut the budget to allow you to ringfence education spending? Or would you simply not cut as deep? If so, what are your policies to promote economic growth that will make a further deterioration in the budget position tenable?

I notice that this demo is not just about tuition fees, but also about the abolition of EMA. EMA is a complete farce, and I'm extremely glad that they are getting rid of it. It was using an elephant to crack a nut.
