I've gone big on a Brighton win. 7/2 with Betfred online.

I will either be having a nice curry and a bottle of wine tonight, or I'll be bin-dipping....

Obviously a matched bet for £100 free bet if it loses, layed and locked for around £70

So... I've had a great week at work and lumped £250 on us at 7/2 hoping we'd come out of the traps like lunatics and bang a couple of early goals.

Now, at half time, I can cash out for £552.19........

Any betting gurus or soothsayers on here who can offer advice? Will we only get better, or will we crumble under the pressure of being ahead, away from home?

You got a magic money tree growing in the garden or something? £250 on a single bet is madness unless you're already filthy rich

Any time for aftertimers?

£10 Brighton 3-0 @50-1. £510 return. Bet Victor had it @100-1 but I wasn't convinced enough to bother getting my bookies password book out.

I only bet what I can afford to lose, and I've had a brilliant week this week so could afford to lose it. I rarely go that big on a bet (maybe 3 or 4 times in the last 10 years), but I had a very strong feeling we'd get something from this game - and 7/2 odds couldn't be ignored. Potter's first game in charge, players all loving the new system and wanting to impress. Watford feeling the pressure to emulate last season, fans getting expectant. Clearly the case as the crowd were muted and we sang over them the whole game.

Well done knocky1 - I never go for correct scores as I always get them wrong, without fail. :annoyed:

Back to my usual £10 Doubles and Trebles, or £5 Accas and so on from now.

Well you've got balls, sometimes I wish I went large (more than a tenner) but the amount of bets that dont come in it's probably wise not too overall
