Abort, retry, fail
yes we do. £1.2m a year rent.

why do you have the travel voucher (apologies if already covered, i skipped to the last page of this thread) part of the agreement to allow you to play at withdean?

how do it work? the bus/train company returns the torn off ticket pieces to the club and are reimbursed the fare?

It is part of the planning permission to play at Withdean otherwise all hell would break loose if everyone drove. I am not sure if you have been (you sold me your ticket to the last game), but it is the suburbs and there are no official parking measures at all, so the council have made sure that we all travel by foot/bus/train. Some do park and it annoys the local residents.

I think it was mentioned that the club either pays 15% of the ticket price to the transport bodies or it may be a flat fare. You get two stubs on the ticket that covers both journeys and you do not have to pay anything on the day. I don't know how far out this voucher covers, as I only need to use it within Brighton.

I am not sure how much rent we pay for Withdean. We paid £400k at the last season of The Goldstone and possibly the same for Gillingham(?). I can't remember the details of that.

League 1 football, crap ground, no atmosphere, average team, windy, cold, raining, possible mid table finish

Does not really inspire you does it.

No it certainly doesn,t. Having said that, I think it is a wonderful testimony to the resiliance of our supporters that we still get 5000 turning up.

Worthing to Seaford west to east. Lewes, Haywards Heath to the north.

yes i have been to withdean the season before that, when killa was sent off for calling that woman lino a bitch and we lost in the pouring rain. didnt use the travel voucher, though i remember it being on the ticket.

i was just curious about that travel fare and how it all worked. i can see why the scheme is there and the idea behind it. i just wondered if bha paid 15% of the face value to the travel companies on ALL tickets sold for a game at withdean, or if they only pay 15% of the stubs that are returned or whatever.

not really any of my business i suppose just nosey on this dull monday evening.
