This goes against the very essence of being Brighton, worse than having sex with your sister (a common occurrence in Croydon supposedly), more demeaning than being the Tory supporting Brexit voter I am. I feel tarnished, like an ancient piece of silverware unpolished for decades.

But, for all that self loathing, I still can’t deny the fact that I will be cheering them on in their task of extending their record. This goal of theirs (I know, they DO have a goal), is truly inspirational and I am a true admirer.

I realise this may lead to a ban (any many would say it would be thoroughly deserved), but we need to confront our weaknesses and discuss them.

Another supporter of Crystal Palace extending their record today. It’s a massive ask to get an eighth ‘L’ and and eight ‘0’ but I believe they can do it.
