Probably so he can try and score a few goals with the aim of getting his name known to give him a chance of getting picked up by a league club when his contract is not renewed here. Hardly set the world alight against Forest Green!

Good move for him, after watching him last night, he wouldn't last 5mins on the championship at present. Has a good touch and eye for goal, but lacks a bit of pace to beat his man, but also far too lightweight.

JFC is still very young his time will come but apparently he didn't do much for the res last night. I just hope that he doesnt get too big for his boots.

That is my "worry" he was very huffy and puffy last night, some great touches but never got into the game and got quite frustrated. I think he is being hyped up way too much, and at the age of 17, probably still has at least another 12-24 months before hes mentally and physically ready for this level, but Gus will want to develop him and keep a close eye, rather than send away

He tweeted saying he played the whole game with a tight hammy

Surely he can do better than Bath City who are bottom of the conference.

I'd have thought so too - surely there are a few league teams that play our style and would be surprised if Bath did (and if they do they don't do it well!!!) If we'd given up on him I'd have thought a longer loan spell

He was also honest enough to say that he played crap, so maybe hope that he hasn't/won't become a Billy Big Bollocks. :)

I was commenting on something an ex member of the youth team told my grandson as they are both on a PE Course and he said that JFC was in fact Billy Big Bollocks to all the others in the team. Then again that could just be jealousy because he was released, due to injury he said, but who knows. He did give Ben a BHA shirt and training top from a player, cant remember who it was though. I am sure that if it was so Gus would make him toe the line as he didnt stand any nonsense from his step dad so he isnt going to from JFC.

I think being among peers it would be easy to act "the big I am" but he is mixing with lads who are between 2 and 4 years older than him now so that should help keep him grounded. A bit of self-confidence is a good thing BUT..........................

It must be hard for him when he's playing for England with players at bigger Premiership teams who are no doubt reserve players but they are also playing against Arsenal or Chelsea reserve teams whilst he has to play against Forest Green Rovers, etc. Although in some ways I am sure games against County league sides mide be a bit more competetive.
