To what extent is the long running Falmer Stadium saga...

For me, it has meant that I simply do not trust Lib Dems. Its irrationale in a way, as lib dems in Yorkshire had no bearing on its outcome. But having a Lib Dem as CE trying to kill the club, and Lib dems in a local authority also trying to kill it, I simply do not trust any lib dem any more.

Btw, my local Labour MP refused to sign the EDM on Falmer planning, so his Vote is gone also.

I have never voted Tory and never will, and as there are only 3 candidates in my ward I have effectively been disenfranchsied.

but you live in hastings & reigate, so this is hardly a local issue is it? have your prospective mp's ever voiced a view? i doubt it.
That's all I'm saying really. Lib Dem behaviour towards Falmer hasn't affected the way I'll vote.

Had the Lib-Dem candidate and workers from Bexhill and Battle consistuency at my front door yesterday, told them exactly why they will not get my vote re Falmer saga (although I would probably of voted for them). The look of horror and upset on their faces was evident but to their credit they admitted that they were wrong over the whole affair and that they did'nt realise how little impact the ground would have on the area after they'd seen the stadium for themselves. (Rubbish they were just after my vote) I ended the conversation by saying that if it had been built 8 years ago like it should, my dad who died last August could of seen it.

What makes it worse in my book is that my candidate activily went against the planning app without having an insight into the benefit the stadium will bring, that just just about sums them up, and why their proclaiming about being a 'local' interest party is just complete bullshit. Albion fans DO NOT vote for them, remember their members in Lewes tried to kill our club out of a petty, nasty and vindictive campaign.

None whatsoever.

Personally the deficit, unemployment, and the overall economy will have far more bearing on my vote, rather than what a few parochial dimwit politicians tried and failed to do a few years ago.

I vowed never to vote for the Lib Dems because of Falmer and currently intend to honour that vow. That said, if they changed their stance on Europe and immigration then I might be persuaded to change my mind.

Lib Dems - yes. Goldstone Retail Park and Forfars - never.

But why the difference ? The Lib Dems tried to destroy our club - GRP didn't. Forfars I agree with you on.

My current MP appears to be Nick Herbert. He won't be getting my vote, and it's not entirely due to his ridiculous comments regarding Falmer.

Certain individuals have removed their right to my support should I ever find myself in their constituencies, but it won't affect a whole party - except in Lewes.

The Tory candidate for Hove makes a fairly big deal of supporting the Albion. Good to hear but still couldn't vote for him. Was put off voting green by their opposition to Falmer so it's probably Celia again for me although I think her support for the stadium is simply to get the vote! Bring back Ivor
