How to solve it:
Ask the club to move to the centre of the North.

We shall be asking about that on Thursday at the NW/SW meeting.

Start joining in with the other songs in the north that are not started by the NSK.
You never know, some if yours might get sung as well.
One voice of many is stronger than just many different voices.
Or is that not what you guys want?
I do support any kind of team support, but at the moment the way things are the NSK/police box v rest is damaging the Amex atmosphere.

We start another chant as soon as we finish the last one most of the time. If we waited for the left side to start a song each time we would have a lot of quiet times. It certainly is not our intention to actively avoid singing other peoples songs. You are falling in to the trap of making it a NSK v the world argument, whilst simultaneously accusing us of doing the same.

Also if you want Hyppia out, then chant for it. That's how fans call for a managers head, saying nothing at the game and then just writing you want him out on a message board or twitter is not going to get the club to listen. Also I believe it's a larger change that's needed.

Some people choose to do things differently. I did not join in any Sami out chants during the game as I choose to back the team during the 90 minutes with no negativity. However, at the final whistle I did chant Sami out. This is my personal view of how a manager out situation should be handled. Some prefer to make their message heard during the game. Some will leave early. Some won't turn up at all. It is a personal choice and it certainly is not black and white which is the best way. Finally on this, do not equate our current, losing some games need to sack the manager with the Archer and Belotti years, this is just some rubbish football, some bad signings and a crap manager, not the very future of our club.

Build a bonfire,
Build a bonfire,
Put Sami Hyypia on top,
Put Burke and Barber in the middle,
And we'll burn the f@cking lot!!

Over to you....

Oh!

Oh!

Sorry fella but barbers programme notes last night were patronising pompous and dismissive. Hypia is Case like. Utterly out of his depth. So a little resonance with parts of the bad old days. If we fall through the trap door into league one it clearly affects the future. As a fan since 74 and STH since 89 im not naturally over dramatic. Hypia out for me before the failings and growing divisions destroy what has been achieved.

Yes, Hyypia out, I agree but he is just a crap manager. We are not being asset stripped and having our Stadium sold from under us. We just might get relegated, that is a thing that happens to football clubs. Yes that will cost us money, well Bloom really, but again relegation this year does not put the club at risk of going out of existence.

Excellent post. Last night was utterly shocking, and the latest in a long series of rubbish performances.

But that doesn't excuse or explain the level of histrionics from some. Recruitment has been poor and Sami has looked woefully short of nous and spirit. The players seem to have lost faith, and are drifting to defeat after defeat. It's an utterly lamentable state of affairs but it is what it is - a poor manager leading an average team to a series of poor results - every fan is concerned by that.

It's those seeking to question the motives of the chairman, and all this 'soul of the club' stuff, that is unnecessary (and distracting attention from the real problems ON the pitch, IMO).

But, yet again, you are failing to grasp a key FACT. Most of the time, those of us on the left side of the North Stand can barely hear what's being sung on the right side. I could just as easily argue that the continuous chanting that you claim is coming from your part of the stand is adding nothing to the atmosphere around where I sit.

Getting the singers (on BOTH sides of the North Stand) grouped together in the middle might be the answer. And this can be achieved by completely abandoning allocated seating throughout the North Stand.

Tony Bloom's problem is that he will never admit that he's made a mistake and he surrounds himself with yes-men who won't dare suggest that he has.

Yes, l've met the guy a couple of times, and likeable though l found him, he sure has a strong personality. I'm afraid that if you work for the club, it's either Tony's way, or the highway.

It's not an excellent post because it was a reply to Harold who was making an entirely sensible post based on historical experience that you, with a name like yours, should have shared? I fear the damage that's being done to our club - look at the gaps!

My favourite part of this incident was the fact that it happened UNDER the police box, and you could see the police in there desperately trying to work out what was going on, wishing they'd designed it with a glass floor.

Brilliant!

This. And all this nonsense about the NSK not being able to hear the songs from the left side- I stand next to them and can hear it as clear as anything. They don't want to hear it, same as they don't want to be with another group of singers because then they wouldn't have their exclusive little club. Perhaps that's a tad harsh, but that's certainly what it feels like.

People are not drifting away because of a 'loss of soul' or because of some ridiculous 'ulterior motive'. They are drifting away because the football and the results are shit - exactly as they have at every football club, in every division, for the history of football.

When the five fellas decided to abandon me in East Upper on my own and go under the Police Box they persuaded me to join them in a cup match.

After listening to the constant singing of the Muppet song for 45 minutes then some dirge about Ince for the following 45 minutes I thought no thank you:moo:

The singing had nothing to do with what was going on,on the pitch----the opposition had three corners one after the other and they were singing some bollox about Oscar drinking Sangria

HOWEVER--- on away games I think any singing is good coz I'm normally smashed:drink:

Well done for having the balls to put into writing what the majority of us that aren't living in a rose tinted bubble are feeling.

A second well done for fighting off the stupid stewards who thought that they could stop you displaying it, and a third for ignoring the self righteous, bullshit brigade under the police box that think showing any kind of disapproval and not singing non-stop for 90 minutes makes you less of a fan then them.

That is all.

Well said 👍👏

Sadly I am not eligible to attend the STH meeting on 18th but hope there will be enough punters like yourself and Lord B to ensure that a proper perspective is maintained in what I hope will be constructive discussions with the club and other interested groups about improving the atmosphere. Note the keyword: 'constructive'.

They may not endear themselves to others but I applaud the general aim of the NSK to create some atmosphere. Sadly the Amex rarely generates (or maintains) the volume that a 25-30k stadium should. I also recognise that it's not just down to the North or South West stands. However the North stand is the focal point and catalyst for the majority of singing. Currently the singing is too fragmented and when heard from other stands seems a fraction of what might be achieved. So IMO I'd far rather see it as a coordinated effort by the whole North stand, with support from around the rest of The Amex. I suspect I'm not alone in wishing for that.

With this in mind I really hope the NSK are willing to consider the 'other' point of view.

In some ways it is a pity that the meeting is being held at a time when passions are somewhat heated - maybe this energy can be channelled into a positive way forward.

Finally I hope the Club is genuinely receptive to constructive suggestions from the meeting - and is not just creating a talking shop so they can tick an action item off the Board meeting's agenda. There is so much to be gained from ramping up the atmosphere, not just for the fans - hopefully it will also inspire the players.

PS - tell the Club to sort the footie out too, that goes a heck of a long way to helping the atmosphere!

Unfortunately I can't attend either. I also applied the NSK's efforts, you can't argue that they don't create an atmosphere, and they put serious effort into it. It's just a shame that there are issues with the mentality behind it and the way it (doesn't) works.

Are you serious?!? What kind of moron 'challenges' a 14yr old kid who is obviously just showing off to their mates!? If you think that's acceptable you are a cock!

When I was 14 and in the North Stand at the Goldstone I wouldn't have dreamed of mouthing off to adult fans, I would have been firmly put in my place, the same applied in the street and to school teachers.
Many young teenagers today think they can do and say what they like to anyone, some need telling.

Sorry but I think we are on the road of almost non-existance. Bloom is the man with all the power and when he gets fed up with it all, who gets control? Barber is going down the road of Bellotti, I'm not saying Bloom is, but we can't stand by and just let this club sleepwalk into a Coventry.
