I assume this is the pub by portslade town hall.

Painted between 1834 and 1876

Think it is in the Tate, but can’t be sure.

Yes fishersgate was my first thought and a view over lady bee marina.

Btw. I couldn’t find out the exact date it was painted and so put the period he lived in Brighton.

He has a marvellous catalogue!

I'm glad you posted that as I always remember the town hall in Victoria Road.

I wonder if it is the Schooner on the coast road in Fishersgate?

The Schooner is not in Fishersgate its in Southwick.
