Not a new series, it's 2 or 3 weeks in.

I haven't watched yet, I'm saving it for a "quiet time". But I know what's in it, know it's shocking & horrible, and know it isn't representative. Will watch it objectively when the hype has calmed a bit.

In other news, if you enjoyed night coppers, more coming soon...

Just remember, when a nurse or doctor does something wrong, not all nurses and doctors are dodgy/corrupt.

When a cop is dodgy or corrupt, it doesn't mean they all are.

99.9999% of people is public service are there for the right reasons.
The system doesn’t help them though - in the violence / unreasonable force episode not a single one faced any consequences for pretty vile behaviour. In fact in most incidents the police officers escalated the incidents with the way they treated people having mental health episodes.

It’d instil a bit more confidence ‘not all officers are like that’ if a few of them were getting reprimanded properly rather than using ‘stress of the job’ as an excuse

It’s been an interesting series. I’ve not seen the third episode yet but I’ve left the previous two episodes with different feelings.

I’ll hide my comments in spoiler tags so as not to give away what happens for those who haven’t watched it yet.

The first very much on the side of the victims wondering how no officer was found guilty of any wrong doing. One even getting a not guilty charge in court, and none found guilty of any wrong doing by internal investigations.

The second you realise what a tough job the police have. One incident they could have possibly handled differently but they were in a very difficult situation having threats made against their safety.

Seems appropriate to post the latest report of alleged police corruption here:

Is it any wonder that so many women and girls decide not to report cases of sexual assault, abuse etc when those that should be protecting them are themselves committing (alleged) offences and are being protected by the Force?

I’ve witnessed a police officer driving whilst over the limit being let off by his other buddies in a Horsham crack down drink driving.
Kind of blows out your 99.999%

Loved this series and 24 hours in police custody.

Any recommendations for similar documentaries much appreciated…. TIA.

I’m always supportive of our police. Many interactions with them for the right reasons.

The x percent who are sexual predators and/or commit ‘minor’ crimes then given second/third/fourth chances need to be booted out. Along with the culture of victims and whistle blowers being ostracised.

On the night coppers the pc pulled over a smart car which had an ex-inspector in and even she got multiple apologies.

They 100% treat themselves differently to the rest of us which is part of the problem.

Yep, they can beat a newspaper seller to death without consequences. Getting away with murder, literally.

West is BEST
A sober officer claims the drunk woman climbed from her seat, got on top of him, pulled his wilton out, put it in her and rode him. All the time he claims he could do nothing to stop her.

And he gets clean away with it, his loving wife rubbing his back and supporting him in court.

What a f***ing weird, dark, world we live in.

Sacked by his police force?
