To be fair, hearing footballers say "you know" about one hundred times during a two minute interview hacks me off more. You know.
I seem to remember Bobby Zamora saying that a lot, or something very similar in interviews.
I would have found that annoying but I was too in awe of him at the time

I don’t use that phrase as I have trouble pronouncing the letter f. I also struggle with th. I told my GP about this and he replied “You can’t say fairer than that then, can you?”

...is the time-killing phrase of anyone in corporate life trying to buy time to work out what to say next. Unfortunately the words that follow that phrase are rarely worth hearing.
