So, question Giraffe - are you pleased that you were on the money with the tracker, or disappointed that the season was, in reality, another season treading water and surviving.

And next question, will your tracker next season start out with a 40 point target or, given the understandable hubris, will you now lift the benchmark to at least reflect the number of points that Croydon FC finish with this season?

RE 1, no, because it's not about being 'on the money', but about having an 'objective' guide to evaluate our results as the season progresses
RE 2, no: see above

Objectively we are doing what we need to survive - and we've never departed far in either direction from the line of assured safety.

Who, next year, would like to see something different? The problem is we don't know which way it will go from the line.

Not relevant now, but for completeness I like to keep it going to the bitter end.

You never know with Brighton we may yet get above 40 points unlikely but not impossible. Not beyond us to snatch a point or even 3 v Arsenal, we may even grab something unlikely against a resting City you never know.

No one worries really what you win the title by. 75 has won a PL title, as has 97.

We’ve got 38 points, but are 11 points above the drop, the earliest we’ve confirmed survival in the PL so far.

It’s the small mercies you have to cling to!

Indeed.
The league position and points total is not reassuring but the comfort of the gap is something to take comfort from.

If Fulham don’t improve on their 27 points , would that be the lowest points total needed to survive this season in PL history, ie 28 ?

Do think it should be based on 36 points next season? But we'll be more focused on the European element!
