Thus far, it boils down largely to:
- Brilliant, unexpected wins away at Villa and Newcastle.
- An awful two points from nine at home to Stains, Burnley and WBA.

Wonder if our destiny will be any clearer by next weekend? Probably two draws to leave all the uncertainty.

People talk a lot about the next two games but all of the five next games are really important and winable and filled with what should be decent possibiliies of getting some points. I fear Fulham more than I fear Arsenal currently and Wolves are not exactly tearing the league apart and are going to struggle a lot without Jimenez.

Just stolen this off twitter from Johnny Cantor.

It really highlights what a tough start to the season we have had, with 8 of our 12 games against teams now sat in the top half. We need to capitalise by beating the lower teams now.

Also worth noting that we have yet to lose to a bottom half team...

We've been here before. My bed is dry.

Well given the board is sprayed with urine right now this seem a little bit pointless. Lets hope that's what Cardiff will be in their last 4 matches.

We are below the tracker for the first time since the first game, and by 3 points! Crisis, it's a crisis!

*I still think we will stay up. Stay dry fellas and lasses.

A win and a draw from the next two and we will be back on track I believe?

Agree if we fail to do that we are starting to look in trouble.

Two wins and we'll be ahead.

Basically, if we swapped Southampton and Sheffield United (which would be fair enough given the way things have gone so far this season), we'd be pretty much on track right now.

A point to match the tracker. Win on Sunday and we are bang on track for 40 points which given all the doom and gloom seems strange to be honest.

Which is exactly the point of tracker for me. People lose sight of who we have played. Pundits talk about teams falling apart or suddenly improving. It's often just the lottery of the fixtures, a tough run or an easy run. The tracker should (in theory) even this out.

It really shouldn't if you've followd this thread from post #1

The first half of the season looks frankly horrible, with us "expected" to only get 16 of the 40 points in the first 19 games. Truly bed wetting stuff. But then a much easier second half of the season brings us home with a further 24 points.

So here it is for the coming season:

- First five games suggest just 3 points. A big early test that could see the bed wetness return.
- After our first win on October 24th by Christmas we have just 14 points from 14 games. Just out of the bottom three?

Update after Fulham. Still 3 behind, but as already said, if we win on Sunday we are all square again. IF.

Here you go, ahead of tomorrow night's games. Interesting to note that Liverpool are more ahead than it appears and Arsenal are not quite as bad as they seem?

Yes true. Although they only gained a point v Liverpool and lost 2 tonight. They have also only won two games all season so despite the perceived improvement they have a long way to go to start winning matches constantly and have missed some easier opportunities than us to do so.
