Not convinced, I know NSC is not representative of the overall fanbase but there are MANY on here who hated everything about Potter and are never slow in posting about it. If even 10% of the fanbase feel the same it will be toxic when things aren’t going well, imo.

I see that at least a couple of the Potter haters have posted that they have totally lost their mojos on the mojo thread, so maybe they are the ones with a problem regardless of who the manager is once we hit a bad patch.
"MANY on here who hated everything about Potter"? Really? Many certainly hated him for jumping ship and going to Chelsea, and have remained very bitter about him since - and in many cases re-writing history to satisfy their bitterness. But hating everything about him BEFORE he defected? - no, certainly not many.
And the fact is he left us in a very good place.

This Potter debate is all what ifs, RDZ was the man that took us to Europe and narrowly missed out top four. Potter didn’t transform Solly March’s career, Potter didn’t really unleash Mitoma these two players transformed us into one of the highest goal scoring outfits in Europe. The truth is we will never know if Potter would of achieved the same levels.

History might also tell us RDZ finishes this season on 44 points - compared to a Potter 41 & 51 or a Hughton 36 & 40 😉

Yes as I remember it there were plenty who disliked him and his style of football and long streaks without wins, pretty well all the time he was here

I’d bring back Potter

Agreed, as Potter is a better manager than De Zerbi.

I have to agree with @Commander Youre all barking mad! for one he most likely sees himself now as at a level beyond little ole Brighton and I'd guess he will be eyeing the Man U job, as Ratcliffe is a fan and Ashworth inbound or maybe the England job if Waistcoat finally f**ks off, he will not even be considering coming back here.

And why would you? Yes, it was finally good in the last couple of months, before that he went on our longest losing run, we coudnt buy a goal and he was always babbling on about Xg as his excuse if that makes any difference.

And lest you forget his end here, having been given his PL job by Bloom and backed by him, it was formally announced on a Tuesday that Chelsea were making a formal approach that day for Potter, and by Thursday lunch time, not only had he walked out with those he walked in with, he had taken Ben Roberts and Bruno too, ripping the heart out of our entire coaching set up for his own gain.

You really think, it started Tuesday, in about 40 hours, they had all discussed it, consulted their wives/partners, talked it through with kids etc and then left, or were they all in secret talks and plotting it for a while before? that seems pretty self evident.

He was a tactically flexible coach, we had some good times, but the bond of trust was broken in the manner of his departure and what happened next, gutting the clubs coaching set up, almost certainly plotting it all in advance, and walking off leaving us with nothing.

He made his bed, he did what he did, we all moved on, and even though he wouldnt come back, the fact that so many would welcome him back is rose tinted madness.

Amazing people might even consider it a possibility. Potter is not ever going to be manager of Brighton .

Team has difficult period so some fans always want the manager sacked. It’s why they wanted Potter gone as well but they now only remember his good form at the end.
Man United fans were the same and wanted Ferguson sacked. Potter was a good manager and De Zerbi is even better. Fortunately Bloom is patient and knows to stick with his manager and support them in the tough times. It is a shame some fans can’t do the same.
There wasn't a general move against Potter,... some aspects of Potterball were irksome and needed a tweak, but folk only really turned against Potter once the Chelsea connection was revealed.

I'd say Farioli, but would need TB to ensure the guy would have a Plan B or C should the RDZ style strategies fail against certain teams.

Potter only started doing well when he had Mac, Moises, Gross, Biss and Trossard at the peak of their powers. Do the "Potter In"'s seriously not think that RDZ would be doing at least as well with that team. There be some crazy folks round here at the moment!!

People who want Potter back are the same people who take their ex back after a toxic breakup when they left for a lottery winner but convince themselves that they’ve changed when they come crawling back after being dumped

When someone shows you what they are the first time, believe them 🐍

If we all chipped in and gave you a few million quid on condition that you

1. Leave NSC
2. Post drivel on “The Shed End” every day
3. Never attend the Amex again
4. Go to every Chelsea home and away game

What would your decision be?

Not much different is it?
Who is collecting the money? I’ll start with £5.

He had Mwepu too.

The loss of Mwepu is something which is often overlooked.
The squad would have been much stronger, if we still had him available.

To be honest I think the loss of Mwepu is overstated by some on here. He was usually the rotation option, rarely had a run of consecutive games. Yes he usually performed well but not enough to permanently dislodge Mac or Bissouma.

Much like Moder really.
