While not real figures and no argument with what you are saying but won't/don't the club cut down on staffing costs accordingly? Say get a crowd of 4k won't need as many stewards or people collecting tickets etc etc. Thus limiting the loss to a bare minimum. + sure get some sort of win bonus from the league
Don't we lose money pretty much every home game anyway?

A match at Withdean in the JPT against Charlton or Southampton would mean a higher attendance but that would be offset by having to pay Sussex Police for their presence.

As we are going to lose money on the JPT game and we are consistently losing money in the league as well, maybe we should just stop playing ANY games until we get to Falmer.

Its a perfect opportunity to blood some players and get a few reserves match fit.

Pros:

Chance for fringe players to play a competitive game.
Chance to win and build confidence.
Chance for forwards to score and build confidence
Keep players match fit [no game on the Saturday, due to Plymouth's GOONERY]
Possibility of day out at Wembley
Possibility of TV pay-day [see Shrewsbury away and Luton away last season]

Cons:
Possibilty of collecting bookings / an injury.

I like it and hope we take it FAIRLY seriously.
Those arguing that there is no POINT to it, please explain what the POINT of any cup is, then? We can't realistically win the FA Cup, so what is the POINT of fighting gallantly to the fourth round?

The chance of a decent draw against a team that will cause a ticketing binfest meltdown, that is NEVER gonna happen in the JPT. We have a chance, albeit a slim one, of drawing a Chelsea, Man Utd, Arsenal in the FA Cup. Who is the best we can get in the JPT? Rotherham or some other lacklustre Northern team once we've fought our way past a heap of lacklustre Southern teams that we play week in week out anyway. No brainer imo

Trip to Wembley via the JPT even more attractive this season following the farcical situation of the champions league final brushing the play off finals aside like they're merely shit on Wembley stadiums shoes.

There are only 2 big clubs in the northern section of the JPT , Wednesday and Huddersfield.
