Anyone know if they've announced the prices for this game? I can't find anything on the club site - just says prices to be announced. Seems a bit close to the date though. If they're set at the £10 mark I wanted to buy some when in town on Sat.

We should play a full strength team for this since our next match is cancelled. That means ten days to the next league match.Need to keep the players sharp.

Makes sense but it's still Micky Mouse, sooner we're out the better imo.

Disagree, possible Wembley appearance at the end of it and already out of League Cup, think we should go all out to get as far as possible.

Agreed - We should be trying to win this cup, we are one of the best teams in it and have a good chance of going all the way

A> Lose 5-0 to Orient in the JPT next week, but finish 6th in the league.
B> Trounce a load of teams and get far in the JPT, but finish 7th.

A> every time.

But it's an UTTER waste of time and means nothing to anyone. Might as well go far in the "reserves cup" or "youth cup" - they mean nothing in the grander scheme of things.

Squad is nowhere near strong enough to do both imo. The lure of Wembley also takes players minds off the League once they get close, remember Adams hung on for at least a month because so many thought we'd beat Luton and get to the final. Our league from was appaling but it was all gonna be OK if we got to Wembley.

Micky Mouse Cup and a distraction this very good small squad doesn't need.

Obviously GOM, but my overriding point is that if any activity in the JPT affects our performance in the league even 1% (which obviously it would if we were having to play a number of games) then it is DEFINITELY not worth it.

FA Cup, perhaps. JP effing T, never.

How linked is league finish to JPT success?

2001–02: Blackpool - Finished 16th
*2002–03: Bristol City - FINISHED 3RD
2003–04: Blackpool - Finished 14th
2004–05: Wrexham - FINISHED 22ND
*2005–06: Swansea City - FINISHED 6TH
2006–07: Doncaster Rovers - Finished 11th
*2007–08: Milton Keynes Dons - FINISHED 1ST
2008–09: Luton Town - FINISHED BOTTOM
*2009–10: Southampton - Finished 7th - with a ten point deduction (would have finished 5th with it)

So, in the last 9 years, 3 finishes were promotion candidates, 2 finishes resulted in relegation, 3 were "mid"table, and last year's was Southampton who were only outside a promotion spot due to a points deduction.
