Is that for a pint? If so, it’s pretty much on a par with most pubs in the South of England .
Always a shock when I'm back in Lewes and largely drinking Harvey's, which is still in the £4.50-£5.00 sort of range in most pubs there, and then try something else for a bit of variety and the price suddenly shoots up by about £2.

Over in the US last month - echo the 18/20/22% suggested tip experience..

What isn't mentioned is… the tipping culture started out as a way to employ cheap labour - $2.13 to servers an hour from the employer plus tips. However, in numerous states now this practice has been outlawed; with bar or waiting staff starting on the same $ as your other minimum wage employees - varies by state but national minimum of $7.75 odd - yet still the crazy percentages persist!
