Tip Toe Through The North Stand !!!!

This was the era when if the boot boys in the North got bored they would run round the back of the West stand to confront the away fans who tended to congreagte in the south (pre-segregation). If somebody scored late on there was generally trouble in the south.

I remember Millwall at home first game of the season, pouring with rain, we came back from 2-0 down to win 3-2. This was F-troop era. They were not happy!

Then beat over two legs Spartak Mostva. Then........................................

In the quarters lost 5-2 over two legs againgst Anderlecht.

Boy that would have been a great cup run.

when did the away fans congregate in the south....... never seen that happen, the only fans in the south were usually the Bosun boys.... no one ever messed with them.... ( except West ham once).... but they got bounced out eventually.

The Bosun used to go in the North Stand.....and you had to make sure you didn't stand in front of Jimmy Hannigan?sp otherwise you'd find him pissing down your leg.
