That was an interesting tactic I can't remember seeing at the Amex before. A particular highlight was midway through the second half when their No. 8 went running about 30m towards our penalty box and then jumped onto the floor in pain, complaining of - I think - cramp 🤣🤣🤣

Hilarious then watching them speed things up when they went behind. Reminded me of Spuds away under Hughton when we were holding out for a draw but then conceded.

Yeah such an obvious tactic. Funny how only one team was suffering with such a chronic amount of cramp, which then vanished in the final 8/9 minutes after we scored.

We might be talking about the same incident but around the 70 minute mark while the ref was talking to a group of players in our penalty box, a Bournemouth player ran from his position out on the wing over the ref only to then sit down on the floor in front of him & complain of cramp for another minute. It seemed obvious they were all taking a turn at going down with cramp, or randomly falling to the floor claiming an off the ball injury had occurred. Must be so boring playing in a team where collectively they have decided 'we're so shit, to get anything from this game we need to waste time to stop them playing'. So glad the ref decided they were only going to get 4 minutes extra for all that acting.

Quite pleased in the end that only 4 minutes were added on, despite the fact it should have been 7 or 8

Wonder if it was “adjusted” as we’d just scored?
I started a thread on that here: https://nortr3nixy.nimpr.uk/threads/four-minutes-added-time.399191/

There HAD to be more than four minutes in the normal course of events.

I do like to think Pawson thought "It would be an injustice if I now gave you back all those minutes you've wasted, so I'm not going to."

I don’t recall us time wasting anything like that TBH.

The PL need to take action though around time wasting, it’s been ridiculous this season.

I thought it was only a West Midlands thing - Villa and Wolves both take it to extremes when they're in front. But the Pluckies have obviously adopted it as well.

It adds a great big fat cherry on top of the delicious late winner cake.

They've gone through their tedious game plan for all that time and, just as the end is in sight and they think they're going to be heading back down the A27 with an undeserved point, it's snatched away.

Off you f***, plucky losers.

stopping for cramp should be treated off pitch. if player must be taken off for a minute or so to recover properly, soon stops.

Several times they set up for a free kick in their half as if to play out from the back. Only for them to change their minds, the goalkeeper to decide to take it and wave we everyone up field for a long kick.

Imagine being so crap at your job as a manager that you actually coach this shite in order to hopefully get a point.

While I did enjoy the speed with which they suddenly started playeing in the final few minutes after going a goal down I don't blame them for those tactics. They're fighting for their lives so have to do whatever they can to pick up points.

Yes, we want teams to come and play but that's because we're currently in a position where that benefits us as we're basically f***ing amazing. In their situation we would have, and have done, the same.

It's way more annoying when teams like Wolves and Villa, teams that are competitive and have eyes on the top half, do it from the first whistle, all game, every game. That's proper shithouse and a god awful, embarrassing way to play when you don't need to.

Pedant alert. Villa and Wolves may do it when they are in front but the Pluckies have copied that football colossus Charlton, who were also doing it at 0-0.
