On April 8 1997 the division 3 table looked like this. We were 5 points adrift with 4 games to play. Our last game had been a 1-0 loss to Scunthorpe on 5 April. Who thinks we had a realistic chance... IMG_1450.PNG

Brilliant. The football league is upside down.

What site is that from?

Please keep this running for the next four weeks in parallel. We would win at home then look promising but lose away. The four games after went WDWD with two away draws. It was just before this time, I think, that Hereford started to sell us loads of tickets because they thought that they were safe.

1-2-18 10 goals scored. Didn't remember our away form was THAT bad.

That two point deduction was looking terminal at that point.

I remember that game at Scunthorpe, well actually don't remember much about the game at all, just the fact I went on the £5 subsidised by the Argus coach.

We've got to this stage have we ? "Look how far we've come" yawn. The commentator last night mentioned it loads of times, yeah we get it cos we were there. This was all posted last year and the year before etc.....

Exactly what was that for? From memory it was for a crowd disturbance incident.

I think it was at an evening game (Lincoln City). I also remember one of the invaders kicking a female steward.

We were lucky to get away with the Leyton Orient attacks. Basically the FA let us off.

That was the pitch invasion and demo in the centre circle.

The memory is coming back - thanks.

For me the most shocking thing about the table twenty years ago is that since then;
4 clubs have been to the Premier League.
10 have gone out the league, although several have come back.
3 have gone bust and disappeared or had to be restarted under a new name.
