Now that the transfer window has shut what do you think about having a thread to name and shame those posting on NSC who made up transfer rumours & stories?

Not really, because unless you work and have access to information from within the club. You will never know who we were or were not looking at. For every player we get, we probably look at dozens, like Curtis Davies for example. We had a look and nothing doing, but if someone had put his name forward a couple of days ago and nothing happened, he would just be accused of bullshitting. Little wonder the few people that do hear good stories are sceptical of putting it on here.

Indeed you are correct, I posted it after some bloke in the pub told me about it, I just thought it to be another bullshit rumour !! It certainly wasn't any inside info from a sauce !!

No, just like the dutch kiddie, if the media hadn't covered it as much as they did and someone said we were after him who ever started the 'rumour' would of got told they were bullshiting when clearly they wern't.

What I love about the transfer is all the stupid rumours about who was spotted at Gatwick / at the Amex / shopping in Brighton. Most of the time I don't even care whether it's true or not. Hence when I saw the Upson thread yesterday I just thought this was another 'plausible but stupid' rumour and was delighted to see it come true in the evening.

What do you suggest instead of the transfer rumour threads? Perhaps some more 'worlds hardest creature polls' or further detail about NSC defecating habits? Personally I prefer a bit more football content....

To be fair this is primarily, a football message board so you will get a lot of rumours.

After a while, you get to know the posters who know something and those that er.... just want to get their post count up.

I have more of a problem with the usual suspects who continually start Zamora, Owen, etc threads. they know they have been started hundreds of times before but lack the smarts to start an original thread. They also know, that by starting such threads that more usual suspects will reply, thus making them feel important.
