The arse end of Hangleton
in some warmongering vicious alliance.

Care to point me to any war Nato has started ? It's a defensive alliance not an offensive one. Of course, if Russia invades Sweden I'm sure you'll be wanting some help.

I’ve tried telling him before but he doesn’t want to understand.
Apparently anything America does is because they’re in NATO, which of course, is nonsense.

Plenty. When a bunch of NATO nations go to bomb some poor country somewhere to take control over their country and steal whatever they have, it is still NATO regardless if they leave the NATO flag at home or not.

Even if you would be tricked (and you are because you want to be) by this very clever "leave the flag at home", you could argue that Kosovo, Libya and Afghanistan wars were started by NATO. Now you're probably going to tell me the following justifying arguments;
"Slobodan Milosevic was murdering lots of people in Kosovo" which sounds quite a bit like "the Ukrainian army in Donbas murdered thousands of Russians"
or
"There was a civil war in Libya and NATO had to intervene" which sounds quite a bit like "there was a civil war in Donbas"
or
"There were extremists in Afghanistan!" which sounds quite a bit like "we are going to denazify Ukraine".

The reason why you accept and believe NATO's reasoning but call Putin a psychopatic liar is because they are the heroes in the Hollywood movies you watch while the Russians are the bad guys. The US defense and weapons industry are not pouring in hundreds of million dollars into Hollywood to make you have some good scenes with Bruce Willis, they do it so that the Western world will applaud the next time its time to bomb the shit out of some poor country somewhere - NATO flag or not.

I can understand showing support for Ukraine, but to randomly show support for Finland/Sweden joining you, Erdogan, Orban and the other lovely peeps in some warmongering vicious alliance... it makes little sense.

What about... maybe a few months of a Pascal Gross banner if he decides to move.

That won't matter. For the average man, the war is only ongoing as long as the media talks about it. Similar to Covid, war in Yemen or Boris being corrupt. Few people will give a shit once the headlines are gone, because that is how people function - they only give a shit about what they're told to give a shit about. If Amber Heard farted in courtroom the same day as Tesco ran out of Viagra due to some supply crisis, no one would mention Ukraine for a week.

Tesco sells Viagra ? - Now that's what I call ''Modernity'' - I recall the days when you used to have to go to Spain to buy it

He has a point Swansman - If you don't condemn it then you are complicit. However what I will challenge him on is that all those wrongs, which he highlights doesn't change the fact that what is going on in Ukraine now is still very wrong and we should leave the Banner for now. The more we keep the plight of what is going on in the Public Eye however small a token has to be applauded.

Absolutely the case.

Erdogan being unwilling to let us in to your highly moral club unless we extradict some Turkish and Kurdish people opposing him pretty much tells the story of the club we're trying to join.

Eventually possibly sending troups to fight Russia in Ukraine (or Russia) seems like it could get some appreciation from the Swedish society. But if the time comes to "protect Hungary" if people one day start some armed revolution because they want free speech, human rights (such as abortion) for women, immigrants and homosexuals, it will be less fun to come along and shoot those people. Or if there is a civil war in the US because people live in a systematically racist oligarchy, we're probably expected to go defend whoever the Donald Trump they're going to have at that time.

Its a bunch of the shittiest nations on the planet - colonialists, fascists, anti-abortionists, pillagers and racists the whole lot (not every citizen obviously, but the states) - and considering how strong the far-right has grown in Sweden, its just surprising it didnt happen earlier. We already have a bunch of nazis who went to Ukraine voluntarily to murder, rape and torture people and I'm sure they'll be delighted to keep doing it wearing a Swedish flag.

Dont worry. Not going to happen. The world is filled with people swallowing the propaganda of whatever state or alliance they belong to.

Brighton factually.....

I beg to differ, I give you China, North Korea, Yemen, Syria, Russia, Saudi Arabia, Maynmar, Afghanistan, Israel to name but a few.

I do agree Turkey and the USA leave a lot to be desired regarding human rights and their meddling in the world for profit.

This only goes to prove every country even one as idyllic as Sweden has to address Racism, it is endemic everywhere and not just a white problem. It is a deep rooted evil created through thousands of years of intolerance, religion, and invasions for various reasons money and religion included. This will not change ever in our lifetime we have to lay the foundations for change, I fear though religion & greed will stop this for the foreseeable future, until we rise above the need for a heavenly answer or excuse we cannot move on.

We all recognise that that is what YOU do.

Most of us, as difficult as it is, still try to have an open mind.

Of course you think so. Propaganda could never affect the ever so open minds of the majority and this is why Coca-Cola and McDonalds are no bigger or more successful than your local burger and soda companies, despite spending billions on marketing. Or is it so?

Its a very simple task to get the majority of humans to do and think as you please. I agree your minds are open, if you have the tools and know-how, it is possible to put any thinkable shit in there.
